Fiction and its perception at the english language lessons

At the English language lessons the authors use short English and American stories. The perception of the stories arises certain difficulties related rather to the lack of understanding their message than to linguistic problems. But only thanks to deep understanding of the underlying message we can develop interest to reading fiction, which in its turn helps to understand other people and feel compassion for them. It can help the reader to understand his own nature and his place in life.
