The formation of subtext as a determining factor in the development of an artistic style

The authors of the article are trying to distinguish the means of subtext creation in a literary work and their connections with the development of an artistic style. The analysis of E. Hemingway's novels reveals that the content and coordination of the devices of psychological implication influence all parts of narration referring both to the description of the heroes' life and important social events as well as to the creator's own views and opinions shown through his characters' utterances.
