Features of use of some idioms with the word "dollar" in modern English

The article analyzes some modern English idioms with the word “dollar”. Since money is an integral part of people's lives, these idioms are of great interest to learners of the English language. The article indicates the main semes that are actualized by this lexical unit as well as the syntactic structures in which it is used. The author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to profoundly study set expressions in foreign languages for better understanding of native speakers.
