The article describes the verbal means of expressing the imperative semantics in the poems of V.V. Mayakovsky. The purpose of the article is to reveal the language meanings, expressing the meaning of imperative, on a specific textual material, taking into account the specifics of the discourse conditions. This approach provides the possibility of a comprehensive study of imperative semantics in artistic texts, which offer a variety of speech situations with the intention to induce to action.
The authors offer the analysis of verbal means of expression of inducement in two aspects: lexical and morphological. On the basis of the examples from the poem of V. V. Mayakovsky the verbal vocabulary with the semantics of inducement is considered (I ask, I offer, I demand and others), is considered, which not only names actions, but clearly indicates the need for an adequate response from the interlocutor. Besides this, the author analyzes such morphological means of expression expressing incentive statements as forms of the imperative mood of the 1st and 2nd person, which are one of the most significant grammatical tools for conveying the thoughts and feelings of the author, are analyzed, the imperative mood forms in the third person combination with particles "let"; indicative phrases, which express motivation through the infinitive; language structures, which urge to joint action.
