ENGLISH PHRASEOLOGICAL EUPHEMISMS ABOUT PREGNANCY IN THE CONTEXT OF CONFLICT-FREE COMMUNICATION

In this paper phraseological units (PU) of the English language are considered as euphemisms that convey information about pregnancy. The research is based on an approach to the study of communication in the norm, focuses on the features of the semantics of PU, due to which conflict-free communication is carried out. In the course of studying the meanings of phraseological euphemisms, cognitive models of their formation are revealed, the features of the images involved are considered. It is concluded that the specifics of cognitive models and the figurative basis play an important role in the presentation of information about pregnancy
