THE SPECIFICS OF THE WORD FORMATION OF PHYTONYMS IN THE EVEN LANGUAGE

In this article a word-formation analysis of phytonyms of the Even language is carried out, linguistic units and their features are considered and identified. The need to study the word-formation structure of phytonyms of the Even language is caused by the fact that many phytonymic terms are absent in terminological dictionaries, which contributes to the disappearance of the words. Certain plant names are irretrievably lost, turning into archaisms. The rich layer of phytonymic vocabulary represented in the Even language remained out of researchers' sight. Therefore, the collection, fixation and analysis of the suffixal word formation of phytonymic vocabulary are of great scientific and practical importance, especially in the theory and practice of the Even language study. The relevance of the study lies primarily in the fact that the phytonymic vocabulary has not yet received sufficient coverage in the Even language.
