PODCASTING IN DEVELOPING LISTENING SKILLS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF ENGLISH)

podcasting is considered as the process of creating and distributing audio or video broadcasts on the Internet. Rapidly gaining popularity in teaching foreign languages, podcasting is becoming a promising alternative to traditional listening in the process of learning within higher education. From these positions, the advantages of podcasting in teaching listening comprehension to students are analyzed and the set of methodological recommendations for podcasts efficient implementation is proposed that could be successfully used when learning English.
