PRACTICAL USAGE OF MENTAL REPRESENTATIONS OF MODERN LIFE IN ORDER TO MEMORIZE INFORMATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGES

the article describes a practical experiment of using mental representations as structures of symbols for memorization of information in foreign languages. The object of the study belongs to the field of cognitive linguistics and psychology. The research is based on the concept of mental representation as a structure of codes changing under certain conditions and for specific goals. Realities of modern life may be considered as certain conditions. Specific goals are understood as the intention to remember a content. The study is relevant, as the rapidly changing realities of the modern world require to accelerate processes of memorization by optimizing them. Preliminary data reflecting the results of tests and students` survey suggest that the offered method is effective.
