The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of intertextuality in media text. The author analyzes the use of intertextuality in news headlines using the texts of Guangming Daily periodicals. Intertextuality as a rhetorical device exists not only in literature, but also plays an important role in news dissemination. Intertextuality has a unique expression and applied meaning in news headlines, so this study has practical significance.
