COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ABBREVIATIONS IN RUSSIAN AND CHINESE PRESSES

The article considers the actual problems of using abbreviations in Russian and Chinese linguistics. Abbreviation is actively developing and is constantly replenished with new terms. On the material of publications in the modern Russian and Chinese press different definitions of the concept of abbreviation are considered, different ways of classification of abbreviations are compared. The aim of the study is to analyze the similarities and differences of abbreviations in Russian and Chinese languages. As a result, not only the general regularities of abbreviations are revealed, but also the peculiarities of abbreviations in two differently structured languages are revealed.
