Liu Xiaoyi   (graduate student student of Pushkin State Russian Language Institute (Moscow, Russia))

This study examines the patterns of occurrence of articulate non-derivative and single words of the modern Russian language into the word-formation nest. The purpose of the work is to clarify the patterns of inclusion in the word-formation nest of words in relation to derivation, based on the material of neologisms of the 80s of the twentieth century. The results showed that the articulate involuntary ones enter the word-formation nest both as a member of the word-formation nest and as a top, and single words are included in the word-formation nest only as a top.

Keywords:jointed non-derivative words, single words, word formation nest, the top of the word formation nest, a member of the word formation nest.
