MORAL AND ETHICAL CONCEPTIONS IN ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN SOCIETIES IN TERM OF THE WORD GOOD

The present paper deals with the national specifics of the assessment aspect in the meaning of words. The subject of this study is the assessment components of the meaning of the word 'good'. The objective of the study was to compare the national specifics of the assessment components in the culture of Russia. Descriptive and comparative methods of naive interpretation of words, a method of complex analysis, and quantitative data processing have been used. An analysis of the results of the experiment revealed the national and cultural specifics of the meanings and personal meanings assigned to the word 'good'.
