The article below delves into internationalisms and their impact on the Tajik and Russian languages in particular. Thanks to these linguistic units, the language undergoes enrichment. The analysis of the above mentioned lan-guages demonstrates that many words have become outdated, surviving on-ly in certain dialects. It is widely acknowledged that vocabularies exhibit rapid changes, reflecting the dynamic lives of speakers influenced by interac-tions with other cultures. The presence of borrowed internationalisms in Russian and Tajik languages is noted, with attention given to their etymolo-gy, as the study of language units in any scientific field is closely tied to et-ymology. The units are categorized based on their origins, with the authors providing examples of such words.
