The article is devoted to the study of the issue: how personal events and reflections affect the writer's work. The purpose of this article is to analyze individual works of Leo Tolstoy and his life path. Reasoned conclusions are made that the events taking place, including in the personal life of Leo Tolstoy, are reflected in his work. The author studied the scientific works of Bobrov E. A. and Basinsky P. V., which made it possible to draw the above conclusions.
