In recent decades, the internationalization of higher education has been accelerating, leading to the spread and deepening of international cooperation in higher education, a better understanding of higher education on a global scale. The purpose of the study is to determine the features and identify trends in the internationalization of higher education in global and national dimensions. The article examines the relationship between globalization and internationalization of higher education, shows the role of international cooperation and international organizations in higher education. It is concluded that the result of globalization is the growing importance of regionalization of higher education.
