THE PROBLEM OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF BUS AND TROLLEYBUS TRANSPORTATION IN THE AVTOZAVODSKY DISTRICT OF TOGLIATTI IN 1966-1991

The article examines the history of the development of passenger transportation by bus and trolleybus in the Avtozavodsky district of Tolyatti during the period 1966 – 1991. The purpose of the study is to study the development of urban public transport in the Avtozavodsky district of Tolyatti. The following tasks were set in the article: to analyze existing works on this topic, to consider the source base of the study, to draw conclusions on the history of the development of passenger transportation. Archival materials of the Tolyatti city district of the second half of the 20th century were introduced into scientific circulation, which reflect the course of development and the problems existing at that time related to the organization of trolleybus and bus transportation in the Avtozavodsky district of the city of Tolyatti. The article is part of a scientific study of urban public transport in the Volga region in the second half of the 20th century, using the example of the cities of Stavropol – Tolyatti and Naberezhnye Chelny.
