SOCIAL AND LEGAL STATUS OF JEWS OF DAGESTAN IN THE XVII-XVIII CENTURIES

The article is devoted to the study of historical, cultural, trade and economic ties of Mountain Jews with the peoples of the Eastern Caucasus. The relevance is enhanced by the fact that in the context of the increasing outflow of Mountain Jews from Dagestan in the post-Soviet period, a real threat of the disappearance of Mountain Jews from the ethnic map of the region arose. The article reveals the main issues of the socio-legal and economic life of Mountain Jews.
