THE CONCEPT AND CONTENT OF THE LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY

In the article, the author examines one of the important achievements in the linguistic paradigm – the development of descriptive methods for analyzing linguistic personality, the creation of structural models of linguistic personality, comparative studies and typologies, as well as the taxonomy of communicative competencies. The author notes that the modern tasks of linguistics related to the study of linguistic personality include the search for ideological and cultural-historical foundations of linguistic behavior, as well as the identification of ethnic, social and professional characteristics. It is concluded that the linguistic personality is analyzed in the context of its correlation with the sign system. In this regard, the "speaking personality" within the framework of its functioning in a communication act can be understood as a dynamic projection of the structure of a linguistic sign.
