The article examines ornitonym phraseological units that represent the concept of "human" in the Avar language worldview. The role of birds in the life of the Avars is determined, and the national and cultural specificity of the phraseological worldview with ornithom components that actualize the concept of "human" is described. The article examines phraseological units with ornithomymic components: eagle, crow, chicken, rooster, falcon, etc., which provide an idea of different types of birds in the national consciousness of the Avars. Phraseological units with an ornithomymic component actualize such human qualities as cunning, courage, pride, ferocity, anger, stupidity, etc. Methods. Conceptual analysis, semantic analysis, statistical analysis.
