REPRESENTATION OF TEAM SPORTS TERMINOLOGY IN SPORT FICTION GENRE

The article examines the representation of team sports terms in the literature of the sports fiction genre. Quantitative data allowed us to state the low frequency of functioning of sports terms in the literature of the genre under consideration. Of 892,500-word usages, 2,512 are terms, which is the use of 1.1 terms per page. The appearance of sports terms is due to the subject matter; they can be considered as thematic words. The degree of repetition depends on the participation of the sports theme in the movement of the plot.
