THE DEVELOPMENT OF PEDAGOGICAL DESIGN IN THE PRACTICE OF TEACHING IN HIGHER EDUCATION

The article examines the evolution of pedagogical design in higher education, from traditional approaches to modern innovations. Special attention is paid to pedagogical design as a key competence that ensures the adaptation of educational processes to changing learning conditions, including distance learning formats and new technologies. Various theories of cognition influencing approaches to the design of educational environments and educational materials are analyzed, as well as terminological differences in the English-language literature are considered. The article presents a historical overview of the development of pedagogical design in higher education and its main stages, including preparatory, implementation and reflexive. The author emphasizes the growing role of the pedagogical designer as a strategic planner of the educational process and considers promising areas of development, such as the integration of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, the development of 21st century competencies and the creation of hybrid learning models. The study demonstrates that pedagogical design is an effective tool for solving urgent problems of modern education, contributing to the creation of more effective, individualized and relevant learning processes.
