INTEGRATION OF BYOD TECHNOLOGY INTO THE PROCESS OF TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN A NON-LINGUISTIC UNIVERSITY

the relevance of the study is due to the insufficient study of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) technology, especially in Russian universities, where traditional methods of teaching a foreign language are mainly used. The number of studies on this issue is quite limited. Russian and foreign researchers emphasize the advantages of BYOD technology in various educational contexts, but the integration of BYOD technology into the process of teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university is assessed ambiguously, the difficulties of its integration are not analyzed, and its practical value in the interactive educational process is not presented. Aim. To assess the difficulties of integration and reveal the significance of the practical application of BYOD technology in the process of teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university. Scientific novelty / theoretical and / or practical significance. A detailed analysis of BYOD technology is presented, integration difficulties are identified, and practical aspects of BYOD implementation in the context of foreign language teaching are disclosed. The results of the study show that BYOD technology not only implements the use of mobile devices belonging to students in the synchronous and asynchronous educational process, but also fits organically into the digital educational environment of the university and the social networking environment. Conclusions. A conclusion about the effectiveness of integrating BYOD technology into the process of teaching a foreign language to students of non-linguistic specialties is made. The study shows that ensuring proper support for BYOD in a university can significantly improve the quality of the educational process and contribute to the formation of students' skills and competencies necessary for successful work in the modern information society.
