A DICTIONARY OF THE ARGOT USED BY FRENCH RAP ARTISTS

This article describes the unconventional vocabulary used by French rap artists, including the volume of argotic vocabulary, synonymous pairs and series, the sources and mechanisms for the formation of youth argot in France, semantic macro- and microlinguistic poles, and methods for creating meanings in argotic units. Special attention is given to the classification of semantic methods, such as the use of neutral synonyms to reveal the meaning of argotic terms and the parallel use of synonymous terms. The research is based on the works of French rappers such as Disiz, La Fouine, and Soprano, as well as their lyrics.
