The article considers the socio-pragmatic parameters of the "pilot" - “controller" communication and its structural and content features. The main requirements for radio conversations are unambiguity and brevity. The achievement of these requirements in the language of radio conversations is ensured at the phonetic, lexical, and grammatical levels. The article contains a description of the phonetic features of radio communication in English, a set of grammatical means that allows generating unambiguous and concise statements, an analysis of lexical means that ensure the reliability and quality of English radio communication.
