SERGEY SERGEEVICH PROZOROV: SCIENTIST, TEACHER, MENTOR

The article examines the scientific path of the Siberian scientist Prozorov, who was not only an outstanding researcher, but also a conductor of friendship between the Soviet Union and the PRC in the 1950s. The goal of the article is to examine the biography and scientific activities of Prozorov and characterize his contribution to strengthening cooperation between the two states. The objectives of the study: to examine the biography and scientific career of Prozorov; to characterize the results of his professional activities through the prism of relations between the USSR and China. An anthropological approach used by the author, since the exchange of cultural traditions of the two countries took place through scientific and educational contacts. Special historical research methods were used (historical-biographical method and method of analysis of archival documents). The historical-biographical method allowed reconstructing the circumstances of the life and scientific work of Prozorov in the context of strengthening Soviet-Chinese relations. The archival method implied the analysis of unpublished materials from the funds of the KRMLL, the SA of the Krasnoyarsk Krai. The author of the article studied the biography of Prozorov and established the significance of the scientist’s scientific research for strengthening Soviet-Chinese relations in the 1950s.
