SPECIFICS OF IMLEMENTATION OF AUTHENTIC MATERIALS IN STUDENTS’ PREPARATION FOR THE ARMY OLYMPIAD IN FOREIGHN LANGUAGE

The article describes the specifics of working with authentic materials in students’ preparation for the Army Olympiad in foreign language. The topic of investigation is related to the search for new reserves of realization of the phenomenon. The subject of study was authentic materials, selected by sampling from Internet sources based on the principle of frequency and system value. The authors pay special attention to the analysis of lexical-grammatical material, displayed in audio and authentic texts when performing a number of tasks at practical classes. It is noted that the methodically competent use of authentic materials not only contributes to improving the effectiveness of teaching a certain type of speech activity, but also develops communicative competence and intellectual skills of students.
