The article presents a methodological system for the formation of interactive reading skills necessary for fifth graders to gain reading experience, contributing to the motivation of younger adolescents to read and study literature. The methodological system was tested during experimental work involving 58 students from two schools (secondary and gymnasium) in the city of Glazov, Udmurt Republic. Experimentally, it was proved that an interactive reading model is an important way for younger teenagers to establish contact, helping fifth graders to actively interact with a work of art. The principles of building a methodological system for the formation of interactive reading skills (relying on emotional and social experience, self-expression, interpretation, interactivity, teamwork and visualization) are determined by the general concept of the methodological system, which allows focusing on establishing emotional contact with the hero and the formation of cognitive.
