Based on the analysis of existing studies and archival materials from the State Archives of the Russian Federation and the Russian State Military Archives, examines the organization and functioning of hospital trains of the White movement in the South of Russia and Siberia in the period from 1918 to 1920. It has been established that the creation of these trains was carried out mainly by public organizations that adhered to the staff approved by the Military Department in 1912. The system of evacuation of the wounded and sick, including field and rear hospital trains, is described and its features are shown in the conditions of the Civil War. The study identifies both strengths and weaknesses in the organization of hospital trains, and also examines the difficulties faced by medical workers during that period.
