STEREOTYPES OF MASCULINITY AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY (BASED ON TRANSFORMED PROVERBS)

The purpose of the study is to describe some stereotypes of masculinity characteristic of the late 20th century. The paper presents an analysis of transformations with the gender marker "masculinity", isolated from the collection of X. Walter and V.M. Mokienko "Anti-proverb of the Russian people"; It is shown that transformations indirectly reflect a change in traditional gender stereotypes towards increased attention to the sexual characteristics of masculinity, and also demonstrate masculine behavior in gender patterns.
