Today, the Bible is of interest not only from a religious perspective, but also from a linguistic standpoint. The increased attention to words in the field of religion highlights the relevance of semantic research. This article aims to analyze the linguistic units belonging to the lexical-semantic group «indefinitely large quantity» found in biblical texts. It conducts a semantic and collocational analysis of the relevant uses, which reveals that lexical, phraseological, morphological, and syntactic units are employed to express quantitative meanings, with a predominance of lexical-level means. It is not uncommon for a combination of different levels of means to be used to enhance meaning in a narrow context.
Keywords:Biblical texts, category of quantity, lexical-semantic group, indefinite large quantity, lexical, morphological, and syntactic units.
