FEATURES OF TERMINOLOGY IN THE FIELD OF PROPERTY LAW IN ENGLAND

The given article describes peculiarities of organization of legal terminology in the modern English language, expressing notions of the Property Law in England. On the basis of the existing hierarchy of notions and concepts in this sphere there is an attempt made to determine those main structural links among legal terms that provide inner organization, as well as stability and independence of terminology in the given area. In addition we single out factors that constitute common grounds for system-defined relations both of scientific notions and corresponding terms reflecting these very concepts. The material for the research comprises legal terminology that has been obtained due to the method of continuous sampling in the course of analysis of legal professional literature, including internet resources (monographs, course-books, parliamentary acts, books of court reports, specialized dictionaries, etc.). English legal terms are studied from two perspectives: logical-conceptual and linguistic, therefore this paper takes a linguistic-conceptual approach to the study of terms. The conducted research allows us to come to the conclusion that terminology of the English Law of Property is characterized by its complex conceptual structure and can be considered as the system (scheme) of the classification type.
