The purpose of the article is to analyze the problem of formation of social responsibility of students, considered as an actual aspect of modern pedagogical theory and practice of higher education. In the context of rapid social transformations and globalization, the increasing social significance of professional activity in the field of education, the issues of educating socially responsible citizens are becoming particularly relevant.
The methodological basis of the research is a systematic and axiological approach that allows us to consider the phenomenon of social responsibility of students in the context of their personal and professional development based on a developed value and worldview apparatus. The analysis of scientific concepts and theoretical models describing the mechanisms of social responsibility formation actualizes the phenomenon of practical aspects of their implementation in the educational process.
The assessment of factors influencing the formation of students' social responsibility, such as the socio-economic situation, cultural environment, legal and institutional framework, worldview, as well as pedagogical technologies and active teaching methods, collectively determines the potential level of social responsibility of an individual and his willingness to contribute to the development of society. The paper also examines innovative approaches to fostering social responsibility, including project-based learning, social partnership, and interactive methods that promote critical thinking, empathy, and civic engagement among students.
The results of the study allow us to conclude that there is a need for an integrated approach to the formation of social responsibility, including both cognitive and emotional-volitional components. In conclusion, the article offers recommendations for improving pedagogical strategies and programs aimed at educating socially responsible citizens, which is an important condition for the sustainable development of society.
