THE ECONOMICS OF LANGUAGE AS A TOOL FOR ASSESSING THE HUMANITARIAN INNOVATION POTENTIAL OF RUSSIAN REGIONS

The article examines the economics of language as an interdisciplinary approach that integrates linguistic and economic analysis within the framework of humanitarian policy. The relevance of the topic is substantiated through the influence of linguistic factors on social and cultural development, including the formation of the innovative potential of regions. A review of foreign studies is presented, emphasizing the relationship between language competence and economic activity, multilingualism policies, and the preservation of minority languages. The main directions of Russian research are also analyzed, covering issues of language policy, income, marketing, and regional discourses. Particular attention is given to the integration of language economics parameters into the system for assessing the humanitarian innovation potential of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The article identifies key indicators reflecting the institutional, educational, cultural, and media dimensions of the linguistic environment. It concludes that the economics of language serves as an effective analytical tool for developing regional strategies aimed at strengthening sociocultural sustainability and humanitarian development. The materials of the article can be used in the creation of monitoring systems and in evaluating the effectiveness of language policy in multinational regions.
