FEATURES OF THE FUNCTIONING OF NAMES OF RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN VORONEZH DIALECTS

This article examines the functioning of names of residential buildings for permanent residence. Using data from Voronezh dialects, the lexemes recorded are described, classified, and nuances of meaning are identified, with particular attention paid to their use in the speech of dialect speakers. Fieldwork and continuous sampling were used to collect the data. The collected lexical units were systematized using a descriptive method. A lexicographic method was used to study dialect words from the perspective of their representation in dictionaries. The territorial documentation of the material was carried out using the linguageographic method. To analyze their semantic development, the lexemes under study are considered against a historical and ethnographic background, reconstructed from archival ethnographic materials and historical dictionaries. To obtain information on the distribution of lexemes and their meanings, an areal characterization of the analyzed units is provided. Finally, a conclusion is drawn about the specific functioning of residential building names in Voronezh dialects, as well as the various types of semantic relations inherent in these words. Active changes in the semantics of the lexemes under study are noted under the influence of modern building types, while the preservation and productivity of this lexical layer is emphasized.
