THE ECONOMIC ASPECT OF THE AFGHAN DIRECTION OF THE FOREIGN POLICY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF SH.M. MIRZIYOYEV (2016-2024)

The article presents the results of an analysis of the transformation of Uzbekistan's foreign economic policy towards Afghanistan, under the control of the Taliban, during the term of office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, in 2016-2024. The chronological framework of the study defines the boundaries of the exercise of the powers of the President of Uzbekistan, the period during which new principles and directions of the state's foreign policy towards Afghanistan were defined. The main purpose of the study is to find the reasons that influenced the change in Uzbekistan's foreign policy during the period under review, as well as to assess the Afghan direction of foreign economic policy implemented by Uzbekistan during the period under review.
