ON THE ISSUE OF THE VARIABILITY OF THE TERMINOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION OF ETHNOORIENTED TEACHING OF RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

The relevance of the ethnocentric approach within the framework of Russian as a foreign language study is steadily growing due to the foreign student’s contingent expansion in the Russian universities and the need to increase the effectiveness of education process by different ethnic groups in the framework of multicultural education. This work is aimed at studying and comparing the different points of view of the authors on the problem of describing the term "ethnocentric approach". This article substantiates and analyzes various definitions of an ethnocentric approach in the framework of teaching Russian as a foreign language, reveals terminological dissimilarity among researchers, and provides a comparative analysis of studied definition in historical retrospect. It is determined that a number of terms "ethnocentric approach", "nationally oriented approach", "linguocentric learning", "ethnomethodics", "ethnopedagogy" is not the synonymous group.
