The author explores the features of the organization of the educational process at a university, in particular, the organization of seminar classes. Given the practice-oriented approach, which is reflected in modern Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education, it is necessary to include as many professional tasks as possible in the training. analysis of educational cases. This is also due to the fact that the conceptual basis of modern higher education standards is the system-activity approach, which implies learning through activity. The work emphasizes the importance of the interactive component in the seminar classes. because it is here that universal competencies are improved and professional ones are formed. By actualizing the knowledge gained in lectures, students can fully test them in the seminar. in individual or group work. The formation of various competencies is one of the most important educational outcomes in higher education, and of course, the process of their development cannot be carried out independently or in an unorganized manner. The author discusses the integration of various types of competencies into a single concept of professional competence, and the importance of university seminars in this regard. The purpose of this study is to identify the features of integrating various competencies during seminars at a university. The object of the study is the system-activity approach as the basis of the Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Education, and the subject is the integrative characteristics of universal and professional competencies.
