Nowadays the teaching of foreign languages includes active using information and audiovisual technologies because of the wide penetration of them into all spheres of our life. The range of possibilities of using video is very wide in education. In view of variety of them the article is devoted to the question of the usage short films in foreign language lessons. The author analyzes the purpose of using such means and how can best be applied, speaks about the methodological framework, ways to improve foreign language learners’ skills and several stages work.
