The article is devoted to the study of the main activities of the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army in the field of training, retraining, and advanced training of its party and political workers in 1941-1945. Special attention was paid to the training of the leading army political staff of the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army. The organizational and staffing measures of the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army were aimed at improving the system of advanced training for political personnel. The work with political personnel in the frontline conditions was carried out under the constant supervision of the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army. The practical activities of the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army in training, retraining, and improving the qualifications of the Red Army's leading party and political personnel were prompt, effective, and timely.
