THE HISTORICAL PATH OF THE KIRZHACH SILK FACTORY WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE NATIVE TEXTILE INDUSTRY: DEVELOPMENT AND DECLINE

The article is devoted to the research of the historical path of silk production in the Vladimir region from the origins of the craft to a large textile enterprise in the context of the native textile industry - the Kirzhach Silk Factory. The methodological basis of the article is the historical-industrial and historical-economic approaches on the basis of materials not introduced into scientific circulation, provided by the Kirzhach district local history Museum, which ensures the reliability of the reconstruction of historical information, allowing to expand the poorly explored periods of the formation of the Kirzhach Silk Factory. The article analyzes the conditions for originate and wide distribution of silk crafts in the Pokrovsky district, as well as the formation of stable production and trade relations due to its geographical location. Using regional materials, the process of transformation of silk craft into factory production and the role of merchant dynasties in the development of the silk industry in the 19th century are considered. Was analyzed the development of the enterprise in the Soviet period, the realization of five-year plans and changes in the mechanisms for the development of the particular enterprise. In conclusion, the article analyzes the reasons for the decline in the production of the textile industry in the context of socio-economic transformations at the end of the 20th century. The historical path of the Kirzhach Silk Factory allows us to trace the main stages and structural changes of the silk industry in Russia.
