CONTRIBUTION OF THE TURKMEN, AZERBAIJANI, UZBEK, TAJIK, KYRGYZ, KAZAKH SSR TO THE YEARS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR (1941-1945)

Dzhoraev Medet Techmuratovich  (Candidate of Historical Sciences, Lecturer, Mikhailovskaya Military Artillery Academy, St. Petersburg)

The article explores the combined contribution of six Soviet republics — Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan — to the victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War. Based on statistical analysis and historical facts, the author examines the republics as a unified strategic rear belt that provided the front with human resources, weapons, fuel, and food. Special attention is given to the unique role of each region: Azerbaijan's fuel and energy importance, Kazakhstan's metallurgical base, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan's production capacities, Turkmenistan's transportation and logistics significance, and Uzbekistan's humanitarian mission. The article also emphasizes the mass heroism of the soldiers and the selflessness of the home front workers, which became the foundation of the unbreakable brotherhood of the peoples and the main factor in the defeat of Nazism.
