Giulio Cesare Varano

The article tells about Giulio Cesare Varano , one of the most successful condot-tieri of the Italian Renaissance and the governor of Camerino. He was descended from a noble family, who played an important role in medieval and Renaissance history of Central Italy. Varano gathered around him a court, which was the center of humanistic culture. Brilliant board of Varano was broken in the result of the campaign of Cesare Borgia at Camerino in 1502.
