In this study, the concept of discourse in linguistics and its various aspects are analyzed. The authors emphasize that discourse is not limited to a mere sequence of words or phrases but constitutes a complex phenomenon, encompassing context, interpretation, and the perception of the text by recipients. Political discourse is characterized separately and is described as a tool for conveying political opinions and manipulation using specific linguistic techniques and means. It is noted that the primary aim of political discourse is to influence society and political processes. Furthermore, the authors specifically address the phenomenon of informativeness in political discourse, describing it as a measure of the amount of information that should be understandable and useful to the message recipient. It is emphasized that informativeness depends on context, situation, and the individual's knowledge. In conclusion, the authors underscore the significance of understanding informativeness in political discourse, as its phenomenon assists speech recipients in making informed decisions based on the received information.
