Burdina S.   (Doctor of Philology, Professor Perm State University )

He Tingting   (Post-graduate student, Perm State University )

The role played by images of traditional Chinese instruments and Chinese national melodies in the artistic world of Russian emigrant poets is considered in the article. It is shown that such Chinese musical instruments as gong, flute, huqin, lute, ocarin, trumpet, etc. often become especially significant images in the poetic texts of Far Eastern emigrants; their sound fills the text with new connotations. Looking at the lyrical work of A. Nesmelov, A. Achair, V. Pereleshin, N. Svetlov, T. Andreeva, N. Shchegolev, the authors of the article prove that the melodies of the flute and huqin, the sounds of the gong and drum are symbolic for poets, help convey unity with nature and harmony of the world, express the inner state of the lyrical hero.
