THE PROBLEM OF COMPREHENDING OF MEDIATEXTS OF COMPUTER GAMES (PSYCHOLINGUISTIC ASPECT)

In the article under discussion the material of strategic entertaining computer game Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos as a literary work. Mediatexts from this game were analyzed from the linguostylistical standpoint to identify connotatively marked stylistic devices that can influence the player. Two groups of responders were surveyed to clarify different reactions to the textual material that was part of the speech of the game characters. The task was formulated to suggest the character of the images that were shaped in the minds of the responders. At the end of the article the conclusions were drawn and recommendations were given.
