VERBALISATION OF THE CONCEPT «ISKUSSTVO» / “ART” IN RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH ART DISCOURSE

The paper presents comparative analysis of objectification peculiarities of the concept «iskusstvo» / “art” in art discourse in the Russian and the English languages on the basis of works on art history, architecture, etc. of the authors and art experts of the XX century.The methods of the analysis are comparative, descriptive and methods of discourse analysis. The theoretical significance of the work lies in the fact that verbalization of the concept «iskusstvo» / “art” by use of noun prevails in art discourse in both languages. Moreover, five groups of meaning characterizing «iskusstvo» and eight groups that characterize “art” have been revealed.
