The history of the Russian people has enriched the national and collective memory of society with semantic concepts for many centuries, which are reflected in cognitive metaphorical models. The filling of people's consciousness took place through the prism of knowledge of the surrounding reality and depended on the social context and the needs of various actors. The semantic framework of stereotypical situations, life collisions, and hidden human experiences was captured in frames structuring the experience, while metaphor became a way of interpreting it. The problem of the research lies in the fact that the outside world enriched the language of the Slavic peoples, subjecting it to lexical and communicative semantic derivation, including through spatial adjectives, which became representatives of the category of space. Russian Russian folk and modern songs. The purpose of the work was the metaphorical use of these adjectives in the texts of Russian folk and modern songs, which absorbed all the beauty of the Russian soul and contributed to the disclosure of the originality and uniqueness of the cultural heritage of the past for each subsequent generation. The result is the differentiation of these lexemes belonging to the class of actively sought-after nominations. Conclusion: the cognitive metaphorical model in musical compositions acts as a scheme of communication between conceptual spheres formed in the minds of the Russian-speaking population.
